(see back for parade route and map)

  2. The only vehicles allowed are antiques or those with officials. All others must be floats.

  3. The parade will begin promptly at 10 a.m., rain or shine. You should be ready to go by 9:30 a.m.

  4. Cars and vehicles not in the parade will not be allowed in staging areas.

  5. Vehicles dropping off children, bikes, pets, float riders and horses will only be allowed in designated areas. If young children need to be escorted to their floats, be prepared to do so on foot.

  6. All drivers of motorized vehicles in the parade must be licensed drivers. The Eureka Chamber of Commerce is not responsible for accidents during the parade.

  7. No alcoholic beverages will be allowed on parade entries.

  8. Candy, balloons, or other give-aways may only be dispersed by walkers along side of the float. This is to guard against children inadvertently running into the path of the parade traffic. Such precaution should prevent a serious accident. This will be enforced by the Police Department.

  9. All Parade entry numbers should be displayed on the left side of your entry. You must provide your own tapes, pins, etc. for attaching your entry number for judging. Parade judges will be located on the left side of the street (east side of Central) as the parade turns on Dreyer. Parade numbers will be distributed as you arrive at your parade assembly area.

  10. Entries wishing to perform in front of judges’ stand may do so, however, your presentation may not exceed three minutes.

  11. Parade entries must remain in the parade from start to finish. Also, as a courtesy, entries finishing the parade should remain at the Community Center grounds until the whole parade is over and the People’s Award has taken place.

  12. Parade awards ceremonies will be held at the Eureka Band Shell (Main Stage) immediately following the parade.

  13. We ask all performing groups to perform throughout the parade. This will allow all spectators to enjoy your talents.

  14. Person(s) who enter floats which include horse(s), miniature horse(s), mule(s), dog(s), or any other animals are responsible for their clean-up.
