Unemployment insurance was the hot topic for the August 4 general meeting of the Chamber of Commerce. Gary Marble of AIM (Associated Industries of Missouri) presented information regarding house bills 1268 and 1211 and their impact on employers.
Eureka Days plans are coming together with several great additions this year according to Lelanai Archambault. Attractions will include classic cars, hot air balloon rides, helicopter rides, a circus, a parade, carnival rides, entertainment and good food. Several volunteers are still needed. Tim Jones, City Alderman, announced several new projects for Eureka including an office complex at Beverly and Second street, a new Schnucks grocery near the intersection of I-44 and Hwy 109 and 36 single family homes for the Hilltop Estates area.
