New Chamber President Pat Feder reviewed accomplishments of the Chamber in 2003, complemented the Web site development and introduced the new and re-elected Board members for 2004.

Executive Director Gary O'Grady highlighted the updated visitors guide and noted discounted service offerings for members.  

Carlos Arnavat, new Chamber Vice President, called attention to the suggestion box and free advertising on the homepage of the website. He reported the high volume of traffic on the Chamber website and proposed additions to the site in 2004 including additional advertising opportunities and on line topic related discussion features. 

Angela Weeks, Membership Chairperson reported that membership totaled 213 in 2003 an increase over 2002. 

She welcomed Bill Portner of Daisy Home Services as the newest member to the Chamber.  Bill said he that he had been in business for 25 years in Eureka and he felt it was important to his business to become a member. 

Director Jan Long of Long Ford informed the members that the Eureka Arts Council is holding their annual Dinner Auction/Fundraiser on Friday, January 23.  It will be held at Kemoll's Top of the Met.  Jan also announced that the Eureka Historical Society is having a meeting on Monday, February 2.  Anyone interested in joining the Historical Society or this committee, please contact Jan Long at

Mayor Coffey noted the 400 acres recently donated to Eureka for a park.  He complemented Gary's work for the city and on behalf of the chamber.

Brian Bezold of the RCGA (Regional Chamber and Growth Association)reviewed the past year and forecast a growing economy and stabilization of unemployment in 2004.
